I graduated from California State University, Northridge in 1987 with a degree in Accounting.

In July 2009 I opened my own Tax and Accounting practice with my wife of 18 years, Nancy Castro. Nancy handles all of the Office Administration as well as all of our Bookkeeping clientele. I work exclusively with our Tax and Consulting clients. [Add Nancy Text]
Besides various Tax Compliance clients (i.e. Form 990 tax preparation), I am currently the outside accountant for New Horizons Family Center. A well known and respected charity based in Glendale, California. I am also the Treasurer for Media City Ballet, a charity organization that is based in Burbank, California.
History
I was hired by BDO Seidman, straight out of college. BDO Seidman is an international accounting firm which, at the time, was ranked the 10th largest in the United States. Primarily assigned to the tax department, my clients were large corporate firms for which I prepared and later reviewed corporate income tax returns. When not busy with Tax work, I was assigned to audit the financial statements of these same firms.
From BDO, I went on to work at various small accounting firms. At these firms I became a tax generalist gaining knowledge and experience in the fields of Estate & Trust as well as Not-For-Profit Corporations.
In 2004, I joined a Glendale, California CPA firm as a Full Partner. During my 5 year tenure, I helped grow the practice by 60%. [ADD How/Why]
